Money from the city and the ministry

Renovating a monument is a bottomless pit. In Toruń, we have hundreds of tenements that are deteriorating because owners are afraid of costs. Monetra helps to realistically lower these costs. We don't promise miracles, but we know the realities of applications to the Toruń City Hall and the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. In 2023, we successfully prepared 11 applications for private owners around Szeroka street and Bydgoskie Przedmieście. Each of them received funding covering 30% to 45% of roof or facade renovation costs.

Deadlines that must not be missed

Most grant calls close in October and November. If you wake up in December, another year is lost. Preparing technical documentation and investor's cost estimate takes us usually 3 to 5 weeks. We check if your object appears in the monument register or municipal record. This is key, because what amount we can fight for depends on it. The brick doesn't lie – without a well-prepared cost estimate, officials will reject the application at the start for formal errors.

Settlement is not just invoices

Getting the money is half the success. The real stairs start when settling the grant. Officials check every zloty and every square meter of plaster. We make sure invoices match the approved work schedule. We look for a second bottom in every grant agreement provision, so you don't have to return funds with interest. If the Municipal Monument Conservator challenges the type of joint used, we have hard technical arguments and photographic documentation from every stage of work.

Relief for monuments – real savings

Few people know that you can deduct expenses for the renovation of a tenement entered in the monument register from income. It's the so-called "Palace Plus". It's real cash in your pocket at the annual tax settlement. We have already helped 14 owners deduct a total of over 162,000 PLN as part of this relief in the last settlement cycle. We count every meter so that the tax office has nothing to find fault with. P.S. Remember that you must have written consent from the conservator before starting work, otherwise the relief will be lost irretrievably. Better to ask us about it two months earlier.

Transparent rules of cooperation

We do not charge fees "for promises". Our remuneration consists of a small initial fee for document preparation and a success fee, i.e., from the actually granted subsidy. Last year we saved the budgets of 7 housing communities in Toruń this way, which did not have full funds for window replacement. Old walls are new profits, if you can only reach for public money, which is intended for the revitalization of our Old Town anyway.
